You are very active as a studio musician in the UK. May you inform us with whom you are in the studio?
Herman Rarebell:
In the moment, I work as a freelance in the studios, and the songs I record are either for myself, or for others interprets.

If I want to book you as a "no name" to record a song, would you agree?
Herman Rarebell:
Yes, of course, this is always possible. But it always depends on different technical and financial conditions.

You placed as disposal a song titled "Heya Heya" as a free download on your website (www.hermanrarebell.com) for an association against Children's Poverty. (www.gegen-kinderarmut.de) with Headquarters in Germany, which acts also internationally and also on 25th of July 2009 you are playing on stage for a charity in front of the Brandenburger Tor.
Since when do you support such charity projects?
Herman Rarebell:
I received this recommendation from a friend. The children, where the parents have no possibility to supply their needs, if they are financially limited or from poor social families will get support from this organisation.
When I was a kid, I did not have these problems. But if I had them, I would be so glad, if there would be some persons helping me out of it.
By our status, we are ready to help those kids, we meet them, play music together, and of course organize some charity events to help them financially.

You wrote some huge Scorpions Songs, which ones?
Herman Rarebell:
Another Piece Of Meat, Rock You Like A Hurricane, and some more

Do you write all of your songs for yourself?
Herman Rarebell:
Every song that I write is normally used for my records, but I have written songs who did not fit with me, neither with my album. These are the kind of songs that I give away to other interpreters.

Are you still friends with the Scorpions, and do you sometime play music sessions together?
Herman Rarebell:
We certainly are still friends. We have separated in good conditions. I do not see them, unfortunately, as often as I did when we used to work together. But for example, in 2009 the 6th of July, I will be in Karaiskaki in Athens for a unique event. Scorpions are going to perform in original line-up. Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth will also be part of it.

What do you think of "done" music stars like these young people coming out of "tv shows" which produce some "superstars".
Herman Rarebell:
Yeah, this is something. For example, I think that Thomas Godoj (Winner in Germany), is a very talented singer. But the dark side, is that through these castings , millions of young persons receive the wrong information. And if they are in the show, maybe they get pushed in the wrong direction.

What is your favourite Scorpions Album?
Herman Rarebell:
There are 3 albums, that I particularly like. These are Blackout, Lovedrive and Love At First Sting. But out of these three, my preferred one is Blackout.

You are in a jury who may decide which is the best rock band of all times.
You alone have the decision, your opinion is the right one. You stand before the microphone and you declare that the winner is....

Back in the past: 1989, The Moscow Music Peace Festival. Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Gorky Park, Skid Row, Extreme ....... and you, you were there too. The Scorpions performed at this very unique event. What kind of memory do you have of this event?
Herman Rarebell:
Oh, that was so good. Finally, these days were the last days of communism in USSR.
Couple of keywords: Soldiers In The Stadium, Rock'N'Roll, Freedom, A great event.
After the concert, Scorps went through Moscow, we spent some time in Hard Rock Café too. Walking through Gorky Park, Klaus told me that this is the place where he wrote the "Wind Of Change".

At the moment, it's very trendy to "reunite" some original line-ups. What about the Scorpions?
Herman Rarebell:
As I told you before, we are going to perform in Athens together. Nothing else is planned so far.
